Photography

Chris and I went hiking on a beautiful, clear Saturday morning. We took the Stawamus Chief by storm, passing everyone we came across on the way up and doing the same on the way down. My feet killed afterwards. (Make sure to take note of Chris' choice of footwear!)

We went go-karting at F440, paintballing and Sniperz, and then camped out in the bush by Chipmunk Creek in the Chilliwack Lake area.

On a walk with my mom, dad, friends and Nathanael, I snapped some shots of various wildlife I came across including butterflies, duckies, and an eagle.

Nathanael and I went for a hike through Stanley Park. I got some good close up shots of a Racoon who happened to be out wandering and posing.

On a somewhat wet Saturday my family went for a drive down in Washington. We went down a winding road called Chuckanut Drive that goes along the coastline. We visited the Tulip gardens and I got some beautiful shots of the tulips.

Me and my dad went for a short hike to Cypress Falls. The pictures of the waterfall turned out beautifully!

Got to love field trips. This one was to the BC Hydro Powerhouse at Stave Falls. This place was built in 1909 and operated until 2000. It was only shut down because a much more efficient generating station was built just upstream to replace it. These generators supplied parts of the Lower Mainland with power for over 90 years and were only designed with an estimated lifespan of 30. Pretty sweet eh?

AJ and I went for a photo taking mini excursion through the Delta Watershed. Here's a few photos.

Our class went up to Grouse Mountain to check out the new wind turbine they've built there. It's huge. Each blade is 36m long and weighs 12,000lbs. The structure stands 102m tall. We got to snow shoe up to it.

I went with Nathanael for a photo taking excursion on which we drove up Cypress, encountered a deer and her fawns (that's baby deer right?) and drove over to ambleside park across from Stanley Park.
