Went skiing solo at Seymour the other night. BEAUTIFUL clear night with an amazing view of the city! It just about knocked my socks off! Such an awesome night!

Went for an excursion with JP through the park. Got some amazing shots of small birds, a squirrel and scenery.

Was driving home down the 99 and saw the sun setting--then I was excited. So I drove like crazy till I got to Mud Bay and then ran in my steel toe boots to catch the setting sun. SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! Praise the Lord!

It's boxing day, and with nothing to do I needed to do something. A hike it was. I expected rain, and got snow up in the Lynn Headwaters area as I hiked to the falls. It was awesome! These are taken with my phone--hence the lower quality.

What a crazy time! First we show up as the fog is lifting, then we shove off and it gets so thick we couldn't see the other side of the lake. We make our way down the slough and there are giant eagles EVERYWHERE! That and giant dead fish at the bottom of the slough everywhere. Very challenging, but I kept trying to get photos of the many large eagles in the fog.

Went for a walk with my dog, Mikey, through Surrey Lake. Encountered several eagles, one of which tried to drop a stick on me. There we other birds and ducks. It was awesome!

Best view of the Fraser Valley. 2000+ft elevation gain in the hike and a view from over 6900ft up from the base of the mountain.

July 22-24, my friend Nathanael and I headed down to Olympic National Park in Washington, USA. It was a beautiful place to visit, filled with 3 major ecosystems. First we went to drove there including photos from Deception Pass, saw a very happy RV, took a ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend, stayed overnight by and kayaked on Lake Cresent. Following that we went to the Hoh Rain Forest, and carried onto Rialto Beach on the Pacific Ocean. The following day, we headed back and went up Hurricane Ridge.

My Dad and I kayaked with our gear and Mikey to Widgeon Falls Campground where we stayed overnight and hiked to the falls the next day. Mikey became very adventurous, climbing onto the bow of the kayak and falling into the water twice.

My Dad and I hiked to Whyte Lake first, following Nelson Creek, starting from Hwy 1. We continued from Whyte Lake up the Baden Powell trail to Eagle Bluff, climbing over a scree field (where I carried Mikey), and up some very vertical trails. We made it (with plenty of breaks for a certain someone), up the 3000+ ft of elevation gain, and 6km one-way of trail. The view was incredible! Take a look.

I went out early this morning to the Golden Ears Bridge and took some photos of the sunrise.

This year my family joined the Smith/Halvorson's, and the St. John's up in the Houston/Telkwa area for Christmas. We did many things including sledding, snowshoing, skiing, going for a sleigh ride, and more.

In October, my dad and I took a hike to Falls Lake up near the peak of the Coquihalla Hwy. That night it dropped to a chilly -5˚C. In the morning after not sleeping much, my dad insisted on making pancakes. They tasted awesome!

Aaron, Victoria, and I cycled to Vancouver from Surrey and went for all you can eat sushi.

A few of us went to Lynn Canyon, walked the bridge and then dived off the cliff--I photographed, hence the photos.
